Invisalign
Invisalign is a new system of straightening teeth without the use of conventional
braces. A series of clear plastic aligners are utilized to create tooth movement.
Moving teeth with removable aligners is not new. However, the computer program,
which can generate a series of aligners with small changes, is the new part. Invisalign
is recommended for orthodontic situations with mild to moderate spacing or crowding.
They are virtually undetectable, easy to use and comfortable to wear.
Invisalign
Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that
no one can tell you're wearing. So, you can smile more during treatment as well
as after. Invisalign is made with 3-D computer imaging technology and has been proven
effective. Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat
and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem.
They are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.
And no metal and wires usually means you spend less time in your doctor's office
getting adjustments. Invisalign also allows you to view your own virtual treatment
plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment
is complete.
A revolution in orthodontics, at Gainesville Dental Arts in Gainesville, Invisalign
clear aligners provide an effective way to straighten your teeth while remaining
virtually invisible. Wearing the comfortable, customized aligners will gradually
shift your teeth into their correct position. Correcting teeth alignment is imperative,
not just cosmetically, but for overall health. Invisalign offers the best of both
worlds: comfortable, efficient straightening with an essentially invisible appearance.
The Invisalign Treatment Process
- Initially, we will have a consultation at Gainesville Dental
Arts to discuss if Invisalign is right for you, and address any questions or concerns
you have about the treatment, insurance or costs.
- Once you’re ready to proceed, x-rays and impressions are administered
to create an individual treatment plan – including the position of your teeth and
how they will align with treatment
- Using your treatment plan, clear aligners are created, and
customized to your teeth. Simply wear them every day, taking them out to eat, brush
and floss.
- You advance in the treatment by switching your aligners every
two weeks for a fresh set. You will also meet with us every six weeks or so to examine
your progress.
- Full treatment usually lasts about one year for adults. For
best results, wear your aligners 20-22 hours a day. Once the treatment is complete,
you will have a confident new smile!

No One Needs To Know
Invisalign Teen aligners are made of a smooth, clear plastic that is virtually invisible!
Your friends probably won’t even know you’re wearing them. Instead of hiding behind
a mouth of metal, you’ll enjoy the confidence of showing that smile every day. And
that can make for a better social life overall. See More Reasons why Invisalign
Teen may be right for you.
Eat With Freedom
You probably have friends with braces who aren’t allowed to chew gum or eat certain
foods like popcorn and whole apples. With Invisalign Teen, the aligners are completely
removable, allowing you to eat all of your favorite foods whenever you want. This
also means you can easily keep brushing and flossing as you normally would for proper
oral hygiene. Try that with braces.
Invisible, Comfortable And Removable
To help you get a more beautiful smile, Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable
aligners to gradually move your teeth. You wear a set of aligners for about two
weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush and floss. As you replace each set
of aligners with the next in the series, your teeth will gradually move until they
reach the position the doctor has prescribed for you. The average treatment time
is about a year.
Less treatment time
An average Invisalign course of treatment takes about a year. At regular intervals,
you’ll receive a new set of custom-molded clear aligners to continue the straightening
process. The total number of clear aligners is specific to you, determined by the
doctor for your course of treatment.
Clear And comfortable
Since Invisalign is practically invisible, there’s no unwarranted attention to your
mouth. In fact, very few people will notice at all – unless you tell them. They’re
comfortable to wear and remove easily when you eat, brush, and floss.
Keep Doing What You Love
Whether you play sports or a musical instrument, a mouth full of metal can hold
you back from enjoying the things you want to. It’s hard to perform at your best
knowing you could get hit in the mouth with a ball, or cut your lip trying to hit
that note on the trumpet. Invisalign Teen helps you focus on doing what you do best—being
a teen.
The Clear Alternative To Adults Braces
Invisalign aligners are made of a virtually invisible plastic. In fact, you’ll be
surprised to find out how many people won’t even notice you’re going through treatment.
That means not having to feel self-conscious about how you look. One thing people
may notice, however, is that you’re starting to smile a whole lot more. See more
reasons Why Invisalign may be right for you.
Live Life The Way You Want
With Invisalign smooth, comfortable aligners, there are no irritating brackets or
wires to worry about and no food restrictions that will change your eating habits.
Plus with fewer doctor visits, Invisalign fits conveniently into your busy lifestyle.
Maintain Oral Hygiene
Invisalign treatment not only straightens your teeth, it allows you to continue
to brush and floss as normal since the aligners are removable. As you know, having
straight teeth can not only affect your oral health, it can impact your professional
and social life as well. Learn more about the Health Benefits of straight teeth.
How much does Invisalign cost?
One of the first concerns with those considering Invisalign is, "How much will it
cost?" But Invisalign is more affordable than you think. In fact, you can enjoy
the health and aesthetic benefits of Invisalign at a comparable price to traditional
wire braces.
On average, the total cost of Invisalign is between $4,500 and $8,000. The total
price depends on the individual level of treatment necessary; however, this price
is the same for conventional braces. When choosing between inconvenient metal braces
and the comfortable, removable Invisalign aligners, the choice is clear.
Gainesville Dental Arts also provides payment options for Invisalign. We have several
financing options that will best fit your needs. In addition, your dental insurance
may cover orthodontics, so your costs could be reduced or completely taken care
of. If your insurance doesn't cover the cost of orthodontics, you can still take
advantage of our convenient payment options.
How are Invisalign aligners made?
